I didn't miss the strip because Suncoast offered all the gambling temptations, as did at the neighboring Rampart Casino. Suncoast was chosen because of the really low rate and because of its location sort of near our business location.
Over the past year, I have visited Las Vegas on business 6 times and this is the first time I have stayed so far off the strip. If you want a big room and don't mind a location far from the strip, this is a nice place to stay. I never tried the Italian or steak place, but it doesn't look too spectacular either. The buffet was nothing to rave about either. Don't eat at the cafe place with Chinese food because I heard it was terrible. FOOD: They had quite a few restaurants at the hotel. However, they do have a lot of markets, Darling Tennis Center, and golf courses nearby. If you plan on hanging out at the strip, this is not the place to stay. LOCATION: This hotel is approximately 20 to 30 minutes drive from the strip. Also, their bingo hall is apparently the happening place. The casino was a good size, and the minimums weren't as ridiculous as some of the strip hotels. The rooms are huge with a large bathroom and very large area. It has casino, movie theater, and a small pool.
I've stayed at the Suncoast twice and have enjoyed both of my stays.
